Some People Lie.

And some don't, they simply don't mean what they say...

'You said you'd be there for me
In times of trouble when I need you and I'm down
And likewise you need friendship
It's from my side pure love but I see lately things have been changing'

  1. Be careful not to assume what you are trying to prove.

Ok, so now you ask someone a statement and see if they lie.

    1. Do you like the color red?

    a. I like it.
    b. I hate it.
    c. I don't care.

If they like the color red but answer (b) then they're lying. On the other hand, if they like the color red but they define the color red to be the color blue. Then they can say what they mean - that they hate the color red.

And actually mean it. And to you, they don't mean what they say but they aren't in fact lying and they do mean what they say.

People tend to have ways to open up to each other that can preclude lying or make it very difficult. A person with a history - and a pattern of behaviour will find it very hard to lie.

For example. I didn't buy a Volvo. Is this a true statement?

  2. Turner, should I be worried about you? It seems that you spend a lot of time here... In the 'thinker' sphere...

I get what you're saying. It makes sense. It's all relative... Relativity means nothing to me. I feel like breaking a promise has no grays. It's black or it's white. Period.

Have you notice that this blog became our only way of contact? I should call you one of these evenings, it may shock you, perhaps I'll get surprise out of you!

Answer: You did buy a Volvo. I can feel it.

    Goodbye tropical island.

  3. ok you're right I bought a volvo. I mean. yeah. sorry I was just trying to say that you've got two different things here.

you've got people who lie. yeah. then you've got people who could also be lying but you can't tell because they're changing the rules.

relativism is that whole thing that you can say you're right - as long as you define that you're right in advance even if you're wrong.

i think you can keep a promise in a kind of sloppy way and still keep a promise.

now. as for getting in touch. I just put nice. new soft. egyptian cotton super thread count sheets on the bed.

they would love to get in touch with your skin.
lets keep it out here in fake-land as long as its all still fake.

just knock on my door. I've got two little kids. I'm not going anywhere.

I promise I'll let you in.
but after that. I can't guarantee you'll be safe. You will have to trust me. or submit. or something like that.

I might just be drawing plans to move to PR.
Tch. This place happens to be month to month.
